Now Teddy says, this needs some thinking about....!
Teddy was a bit surprised when Ethan said that they were going to have their own blog - so he really wasn't ready to tell his story....so...Ethan said that he would start by telling his story, (that's Ethan's story), and then, when Teddy entered the picture, Teddy could recount his own bit.
What Teddy wanted to say, to begin with, was that this was not a 'kiddies' story' - despite the fact that Teddy always looked upon Ethan as just a 'big kid'.
Now Ethan admitted that he had only ever been told one kiddies' story in his whole life, and that was the story of 'Snow White' - as it was told by the 'Boss'.
(When Ethan was a child - where he came from, they didn't tell kiddies' stories)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs |
'Snow White' is a story for children, even although it's a 'love story', but it also has some nasty bits in it - with the Wicked Queen.
Teddy and Ethan's story is not really for kiddies, however, so don't let the kiddies read this.
This story is a very 'adult' fairy story, with some nasty and 'grown up' bits in it - with no sweet little fairies, but plenty of other unearthly characters - including Teddy (but he's nice).
Teddy, of course, is a teddy-bear, but not the kind that you might buy in a toy-shop, or on the Internet.
Teddy is a very special kind of bear - probably unique, at least he likes to think so.
He's not a 'posh' little bear like Rupert, and not a stupid bear, like Poo - but a very special bear who was created for an abandoned 'alien' - who became a human.
That human then grew up, (very suddenly) - discarded Teddy, and Teddy was then 'adopted' by Ethan - or was it the other way round ?
This was good, because when Teddy first saw Ethan it was 'love at first sight', and it was the same for Ethan.
"So, Teddy...shall we begin ?", Ethan said.
"Yes Ethan, that's a very good idea .......but where ?", Teddy asked.
"Well at the beginning...when I was a very little boy.....", Ethan suggested
"You mean all that ancient Greek and Roman stuff ?", Teddy said, not looking very happy.
"Well of course....
Just because you were never a little bear, doesn't mean I can't put the bit in about being a little boy...after all, it's all part of the story - as Novius would say, 'all part of life's rich pattern'.", Ethan explained.
"Now don't bring Novius into this - remember they don't have any idea who Novius is.", Teddy said petulantly
"Yes, but they will soon...if they keep reading...", Ethan said with a wicked smile......
so....read on
"So...while Teddy starts thinking about what he is going to tell you - I will begin my own story...."
